DU has given this attention. Just not enough for media to raise a stink about it. I offer you a few discussion links back to 2011. There have been innumerable concerns and solutions run through DU over the years.

I'm so pissed that this corruption hasn't been at the top of the media's coverage rotation. That spark seems to be the only way to pressure politicians to "do something." It's not just both parties' dragging their feet; even Bernie Sanders doesn't seem to make it an issue. It's not as if there aren't viable voting alternatives already known to citizens.
