This is less about politics than it is about basic quality of life issues. There are factions, of course, Lopez, Capriles, etc., but their views do not control and their issues are not at the forefront of any of these actions, which are STUDENT-led.

Even Chavistas are joining the demonstrations. They're banging on pots and pans to protest rationing and shortages. They're marching in the street to protest crime, theft, and a murder rate that is one of the worst in the world, with an "Unsolved" rate that hovers around ninety percent.

This isn't about politics--it's about basic needs, not governmental philosophies. And that is why Maduro is running scared and has the frigging National Guard out there, shooting kids in the streets.
