37. Maduro hasn't paid his bills. He can't get lines of credit anymore.

He has borrowed BILLIONS from China in exchange for oil, and China wants their damned oil. He's not making any money off his oil paying them back. And if he doesn't pay them back, they'll take some serious issue with him--a bunch of gold that VZ has is being held in escrow, and if he doesn't make the payments, China will grab that gold and the economy will go into free fall--it's like a knife to his throat.

Cuba is running the joint and they get free oil.

The oil fields' equipment needs repair but you need money to buy parts. The last time someone sent a pricey piece of equipment to make repairs, Maduro STOLE the thing--he "nationalized" it.

No one is going to do business with him without money up front.

Airlines won't sell tickets to people holding VZ money. It's worthless.

No corporations are "attacking" Maduro. His money is shit because he can't manage his economy, and he can't manage his economy because he allows rampant graft and corruption by the Boligarchs.

All of these comments are about basic things; going to the pharmacy and there's no medicine, getting robbed, the water and lights not working, rationing--not being able to get basics like milk, soap and cooking oil, the police not finding the murderer, every day the prices go up, etc. Not a single comment is about "politics."
