Please read the above comments about the nomination process. If you have the right connections you could be nominated for the prize and in the end there is no real proof of the nomination since the Nobel Prize folks seal the nominees list for 50 years. In the end anyone could technically claim they were nominated without worrying about whether or not they are telling the truth.

Not that I'm saying that Snowden is lying, but just how the process works. This isn't the Oscars - we will never truly know all the people who were nominated and how they got nominated and even if their nomination got thru the process.

It just sounds like 2 politicians in Norway decided to put him on the list. When you think of it 2 tea party aligned politicans here in the states could do the same thing for Tony Perkins or Fred Phelps if they really wanted too.
