(Oregon) man finally returns home after FBI blocked him from flying [View all]

A Tigard businessman is finally home with his family after being stuck for a month in the North African nation of Tunisia.

Jamal Tarhuni and his attorney landed at Portland International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, even though the FBI told him in January that he’s on the federal “no-fly” list.

... Tarhuni belongs to a Portland mosque that has been under scrutiny by federal investigators in years past.

... Even after he landed at PDX, he ran into roadblocks from government officials. Customs agents confiscated his cell phone and camera. Tarhuni said they did not provide an explanation.
