4. My grandfather was born in BC

Getting the required documents has been a slog. Some of the certificates are from Idaho, and they seem to drag their feet. I need one more document -- proof of my grandfather's birth in BC -- but I have all the documents required to obtain that. Then I submit the request with my birth certificate, my father's birth certificate, and my grandfather's birth certificate, a carefully taken photograph, and a fee, and I should get a certificate of Canadian citizenship.

For anyone able to also include children in the chain (born before Dec. 15th, 2025, or if you've lived in Canada for three years before they were born), the Canadian citizen tuition rates at public universities in Canada are pretty low.
