While we can condemn Cheney's horrible behavior in government he was probably an inspiration to many people with heart disease. Most likely his disease affected his judgment in political matters and it's tempting to give him some slack after he's gone, but nevertheless his lack of compassion for those on the receiving end of his actions resulted in untold suffering.

He did a lot of damage.
