have been at the forefront of the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, but have often received the side eye from others who have benefitted from fight. I've heard it myself. I don't like the term "marginalized" because it makes people sound like victims, but I like the term "thriving in spite" which makes me think of people like Miss Major.
