If they are legally prohibited from “federalizing” while in Illinois, then they have NO jurisdiction to do ANYTHING there.

They can’t carry their weapons in public.

They can’t arrest anyone.

And if they beat someone, they are fully personally liable for any injury, financially, as well as being held accountable for assault.
