94. I care about context.

I know several people in Venezuela. When I've seen them outside of Venezuela (international scientific meetings). they've expressed thoughts similar to those some associate with this year's Nobel Peace Prize honoree - that anything that would bring regime change would be acceptable to them. Whether or not I agree, I've seen enough to help me appreciate why they hold these views.

I take exception to your dismissal of my opinions as "so what?" I never said that. I explained that I understand their perspective, whether or not I agree with it.

A neighbor of mine lost his daughter to murder. This neighbor is now whole-heartedly in support of the death penalty. I oppose capital punishment with all of my being, but I can see why he sees things differently. That's what I'm doing here.
