In reply to the discussion: Venezuela's opposition leader Machado wins Nobel Peace Prize [View all]BumRushDaShow

But in the United States, since its founding, it IS important, to the point it had been codified.
Over a century ago (1903), W.E.B. DuBois made gave remarks at a conference about the-then new century when he was active as an activist (and it applies today) -
The exposure to the unaware, of the sick, twisted, and ever-changing use of color, genetics, and nationality as a tool of oppression (in existence over the past 2 centuries), is in full force right now.
The whole SCOTUS case in 1896 - Plessy v. Ferguson is a grand illustration of the ludicrousness of this system.
Plessy v. Ferguson

Argued

Decided
May 18, 1896

Facts of the case
Louisiana enacted the Separate Car Act, which required separate railway cars for blacks and whites. In 1892, Homer Plessy who was seven-eighths Caucasian agreed to participate in a test to challenge the Act. He was solicited by the Comite des Citoyens (Committee of Citizens), a group of New Orleans residents who sought to repeal the Act. They asked Plessy, who was technically black under Louisiana law, to sit in a "whites only" car of a Louisiana train.
The railroad cooperated because it thought the Act imposed unnecessary costs via the purchase of additional railroad cars. When Plessy was told to vacate the whites-only car, he refused and was arrested.
At trial, Plessys lawyers argued that the Separate Car Act violated the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Amendments. The judge found that Louisiana could enforce this law insofar as it affected railroads within its boundaries. Plessy was convicted.

Agree. That "Machado insisted to The Sunday Times that Trump was right to bomb the boat" does not sound peaceful, imo.

Who will Trump murder next to satisfy his rejected ego? Will Miller present a new killing as a salve to his boss?
