in the past, I have tried that (and other suggestions) and would get a "403 Forbidden" error on the OP when trying to preview.

It's even the luck of the draw putting something as simple as a quote mark in the OP title if an article is using a non-standard/special version of it and other types of characters (another example being the emdash). I have had problems with special characters in the OP body text as well.
