In reply to the discussion: Car explosion outside Palm Springs reproductive health facility leaves 1 dead [View all]SunSeeker
(55,757 posts)40. Now they're saying that was a pody part, not a full body.
It may have been a chunk of the bomber's body that was blasted through the building or over the building.
Apparently there were body parts at various places at the scene. Gruesome. It appears the bomber was blown to bits, literally. Authorities say they have identified a "person of interest," but are not looking for that person, so that suggest the bits belong to the bomber.

OP
Is it reasonable to consider the possibility that a Christian extremist is responsible?

So-called "abortion abolitionists" are also against IVF for precisely that reason.

I looked at the center's website, and one thing it listed was they're happy with LGBTQ clients

Workplace violence is always a possibility though the ones you mentioned seem more likely.

Looks like the person pulled right up to the door of the building in the parking lot and detonated the bomb.

Looks like pro job: shaped charge into clinic, engine blown all the way to garbage bins at back, no sideways force. nt

That seems quite likely - this report says all staff were safe and accounted for, and there were no patients

Damn - sorry to hear that. I've also seen "several injured" in another report

Maybe a body, but seems too small in relation to curb. Not sure it was necessary to post that, esp w advertising

"Abortion abolitionists" have been targeting IVF clinics here and there with protests and harassment in recent months.

But if they are bombing IVF clinics they are destroying embryos or in their twisted mind human beings.

People who employ bombs are among the top tier of the worst human beings on earth.

Almost as bad as arsonists. Arson is often uncontrolled and more than the target gets destroyed
