I kind of think this would backfire. People connect with the people they see on these shows. Imagine all the not quite MAGA people that voted for Trump rooting for one of the people and then they get "voted off". Might just wake some of them the f*** up. I hope it doesn't happen but I don't think it would go the way they think. Immigrants aren't the criminal monsters they've been told they are.
