So the days they don't update have blanks.

"Cases" is a fairly meaningless number. First year there were reported incidents of car crash victims whose cause of death was COVID--ignore the high-speed impact and blunt-force trauma. Still true today--there's a fine line between hospitalization with and hospitalization because of COVID. The data are unclear as a consequence and there's no way to separate the two groups retroactively and scant concern to clarify the data on-going.

This was cleaned up after a while for deaths, in most jurisdictions. Deaths from COVID may be a lagging indicator but it's far more reliable.

As for a cover up, if the data were suppressed you wouldn't see it on the graph. I don't know why, but the last date on the graph (as of when I'm writing this) is 8/19/2023. It's currently late CDST on 8/25/2023.
