Then they can prosecute women who take them. They would be joyful at being able to do that.

I wish there was something New York and other states could do about Google. The Guardian recently reported that Google had raked in more than $10 million from right-wing forced birthers who paid to have Google’s search engine place their misleading ads for abortion first in search results, with links to sites with actual abortion information buried far down the list.

The fake sites are for Christian pregnancy crisis centers where they use delaying tactics so women can’t safely take the abortion pills. They do pregnancy tests but tell women they’re not as far along as they are. Then by the time women realize these are not abortion providers it’s too late for the pills. They also proselytize and try to convince women to have the baby and they’ll get help with expenses (they won’t) or they can put it up for adoption (only 2% of families in the US adopt children). Then there are the lies—that abortions cause cancer and future infertility.

Maybe the CDC could set up an abortion hotline that would give women accurate information.
