They believe in ultra conservative Catholic doctrine from the 1500s when the Holy Roman Church controlled life in all forms—government, business, religious, personal. And that is their goal for the US, for a religious hierarchy that governs and makes all laws people must follow. And they have the money to buy any number of politicians, plus their major coup is a Federalist Society Supreme Court majority that quickly began instituting special treatment for religion. That will only increase until they are stopped with court expansion.
