Because right wingers are the biggest snowflakes of them all.

Its not meant for people like us, but for "moderate" voters who may be life long Republicans that are considering voting Democratic. So if this fluffing is not done, the fragile snowflake that is built into wingnuts, rears its head, and they may take it as an insult, that they were stupid to have registered as Republican, and their extended family too.
