possibly women in the Special Forces pipeline, one of the last stages of SF qualification. They were not part of any unit sent to DC for the protests. SERE is a 3week course in the the backwoods of Bragg, training SF recruits for worst case situations. Tough but interesting course, know it well and spent many days and nights out in that neck of the woods at Bragg.
