10. What is Stone's angle?

It sounds like Oliver Stone was just giving a platform for Putin to defend himself with absolutely no push back. Skepticism is fine, but it sounds like what Stone and the other "skeptics" in the article are saying is that we need to give Putin and the Trump admin a free pass, just because. Makes you wonder if there's money involved, or does Putin have videotapes of Stone in compromising positions.... Also I haven't heard of the Real News Network before this, but are they considered to be a credible journalistic organization, or are they susceptible to Russian money as well to help fund their continued operation? Regardless, these skeptics haven't presented a more cogent argument than "Putin and Trump are innocent, look over there...."
