In reply to the discussion: Sanders fails to oust Clinton backers from convention roles [View all]LeFleur1
(1,197 posts)was because he thinks disappointed Democrats will automatically vote for him if he's the nominee. He counts on their loyalty. However, just as his supporters are disappointed (with everything) the supporters of Clinton just might be so disappointed with his passive aggressive attitude, his insinuations, his back-handed attacks that they would not vote for Bernie. So he WOULD have to do some convincing of his own. He'd have to convince Democrats that he could sit in a room with heads of state and not begin interrupting, waving his finger around, and insulting them. He'd have to convince people he has some plans to do the things he professes are for our own good. AND he'd have to convince her supporters that a conscientious objector could become a commander in chief of the military. He'd have to convince us, who have been through the health care fight for years, that he could even bring forth single payer from congress and it wouldn't bankrupt voters. He'd have to show us how he is going to run colleges if students attend free. What would it cost? He certainly couldn't use his wife's expertise on college finance. He'd have to lay his plans bare and convince the Senate and House to go along with them. I wonder what his plans are?
