(12,882 posts)I have shared my home with anywhere from 17 to 4 pet parrots since 1984. That's INSIDE my house. Then there's the flocks of pigeons and doves (and lets not forget my 10 chickens) that live in our back yard.
There's also the 80-some hummingbirds that converge on our porch at dusk - not to mention the hordes of wild birds we feed and spend time observing. There's always the odd plastic bottle (some with water - some without) sitting about around here. And in our 27 years in this little corner of Eden, I've yet to witness a bird peck at a bottle in search of a drink.
Further, if you knew anything about birds, you'd know they don't "look" for a place to shit. When they have to go - they just go. Some parrots (we have one) can be potty trained with perseverance, but you knew all that.
