8. Why not? The Guardian is left wing...

in fact, there was a time in the late 90's, the Guardian was considering publishing a U.S. edition. After what we (Gene Lyons, Joe Conason and myself as well as other folks on the Liberal/Left) went through with media coverage with Whitewater/the "murder" of Vince Foster, etc., we were pretty excited about it.

My husband used to work for the daughter of the then owner of the DM; he died and now the daughter and son own the rag. Lady Geraldine and her brother, Lord whatever his name is, claim to be liberals but anxious to carry on their father's legacy.
