at least, i think this thread is mainly about the surprise aspect of it, if you're expecting to see old-fashioned toll booths.
one of the real annoyances with the newer toll road operations is that they can vary the toll based on time of day/traffic conditions, so you can't be certain when you plan your journey how much it's going to cost.
