3. Sports builds character!

Unfortunately in many cases it is bad character. Sports stars, beginning from an early age, are allowed to think that hitting home runs or throwing touchdowns somehow elevates them to an elite status where they are exempt from the demands put on mere mortals. And by the time they get to college, especially in football, they basically can get away with almost anything as long as their stats are above average.
