(13,929 posts)That was saying about African american jobs in the 50's, and it is true today. Never mind the whole Mika and Joe Clown show, where Mika pretends to be some indignant centrist heroine being tied to the tracks by that evil villain Joe "I killed my intern and got away with it" Scab. Never mind Rachel "I used to have cred, but I know where my bread is buttered" Maddow. Above all, never mind Chris "Tweety: Matthews. At least Rachel, Joe and Chris did something once that could be argued was credible.
However, perry has been lopped by the likes of Luke Russert, SE CUPP, and MTP was given to...Chuck Todd. Now,I am one of those Gen Xers that the Boomers like to yell at, however, when you see these folks, and know they do NOT have any skills to back what they have been given, you smell a rat. Hell, even the Young Turks could show you that they had insight, or at least guts, but the people I mentioned seem to think Journalism is sipping around bullshitting like Baristas at a Starbucks. No, let me rephrase that, I have heard better researched, and better argued, and much more passionate political discussion at many a Starbucks. I WISH that was a joke, but the fact is, it is not. You can go to many a Starbucks and find a barista working there that has a Master's degree, which is more than many of these Journalists have. So, why the Bloody hell did these young twerps (as opposed to young turks) get the job and spotlight they would not even give to an old sportscaster like Keith Olbermann? Because they are the pretty suburban class meant to appeal to the pretty suburban class; the class that enjoys the privilege of knowing they will never have to be smarter or braver or work as hard as anyone else, especially that poor black lady with all the PHD's.
I hope RT has an opening. Yeah, I know it is Putin's propaganda arm, but Perry owes this nations nothing. NOTHING.
