clutterin' up the lanes of power.

That's why Elizabeth Warren is so threatening to them. They trot out their propaganda and Warren turns the firehose on it, full throttle, without blinking an eye.

That's in part why Loretta Lynch's nomination for AG was delayed unpardonably long by the same Republicans. Not coincidentally, said Republicans were white males. They perceived that Loretta Lynch was awfully smart (which they don't like at all) and that she was not a white male.

Caroline Kennedy's name had been raised as a U.S. Senate appointee in New York, but she wound up representing us in Japan. I thought this was a pretty splendid appointment. She appears (to me anyway) to be the sort of intelligent woman the Republicans can't stand, and not least, she's extremely effective in her advocacy of the Arts and Sciences, which the Republicans consider the twin demon curses of American culture.

A smart woman, an accomplished adult, a global sensibility, and pro-Arts Sciences? The Republicans would piss their pants.
