8. I have been exposed to Pertussis at least twice in the last few years

Even though my DTP is updated on schedule, I still have to take a prophylactic course of antibiotics because I'm in the group that couldn't withstand infection.

I'm now recovering from severe parotiditis. I knew for sure it was bacterial - I had my measles, mumps and rubella titres checked this year, and only my mumps immunity from my late '60s immunization was retained. Since I'm in California, I got an MMR.
