I get sick and tired of hearing some Democrats say that we must be "realists" and be more "moderate" or even conservative to win votes. Bullshit! Chomsky is right! The Democratic Party is now a center-right party while the GOP has gone batshit crazy into fascism. I happen to be a progressive and I want progressive values promoted! I don't want my party to be Republican-lite. I want my party to be for the working class! To push for a raise in the minimum wage, to be anti-war, to make corporations pay their share of taxes, to provide health care and education to all! But I guess that is asking too much! We have to be "realists" after all and kiss the ass of the rich just like the GOP does. Yeah and we shouldn't talk too much about the wage gap or the environment or anything that really matters because we don't want to turn off the conservative voters who aren't going to vote for us anyway. Morons! There is a large segment of this society that wants progressive values promoted but we haven't been delivering so they stay home on election day and then we wonder why we lose to lunatics like Bachmann or Jindal. The Democratic Party needs to wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late.
