18. A knife is a lethal weapon and the only option when a knife is involved is lethal force.

Sad, but true.

A knife is the weapon of choice for the majority of those who decide to commit suicide by cop. Cops are profoundly affected at a psychological level when involved in an incident of suicide by cop. The PTSD can be much more severe than our veterans experience.
