which has a higher concentration of energy by weight. 10 gallons of diesel weighs around 75lbs. That 75lbs will power a Rabbit diesel for approximately 500 miles. There is no battery available(weighing 75lbs) that will power a similar sized car that distance. There are also losses in the trailer due to gravity and friction even on flat surfaces.
