109. I would be inclined to agree with you except there's a larger pattern.

As I wrote elsewhere in this thread there's a pattern that indicates an outside influence that is anything but benign to democracy.

Things got weird when Trump rode that gold escalator in 2015, and they've stayed weird.

We've had eleven years to see the pattern and it's clearer than ever. We don't have to look far for the culprits.

There is more wealth in the hands of a few people than anyone can imagine. Literally unimaginable wealth in the hands of a few people who have proven - through their business practices alone - to be unethical, self-centered individuals. (To put it mildly.) They see the data around global warming - the chaos ahead, water scarcity, not enough resources. Naturally they are thinking of themselves.

Goal - break up western democracies, break alliances, turn people against each other, then swoop in and take it all.
