Yesterday

He said Croatia in the interview that I heard. And it sounded like he was with other soldiers (marines?) at the time, on a drunken night out, and several of them may have gotten the same tattoo. (supposedly owing to its imagery, not its historical relevance)

Seems like the story could be refuted or confirmed by finding these other marines.
