(495 posts)35. He knows his end is near, both physically and politically, and, if he can't have "it", neither can anyone else.
He'll destroy everything on his way out. He reminds me of vandals who deface, burn down and make unenjoyable places others have revered and found pleasure in visiting or experiencing. Vandals don't revere and find pleasure in something, perhaps are unable to, so why should anyone else.
