6. The nation needs him.

Sen. Kelly would make an excellent candidate. A life of service to the country, science and space exploration make him uniquely suited for the job, not simply “The John Glenn for the 21st Century.”

Astronauts since Yuri Gagarin have observed how wonderful and special the planet looks from space. There are no border lines like on maps to divide nations. We are all part of one planet. It is humanity’s home. The problems humanity faces require global cooperation.

John Glenn on Friendship 7 marveled at the thin blue line of atmosphere he could see when observing the earth’s limb. Decades later aboard the Space Shuttle, he noted the earth’s sky now appeared brownish.

Loyal to the Constitution, Sen. Kelly would straighten out the nonsense in Washington DC. Knowing right from wrong and with help from Congress and the Courts, my sincerest hope is that his Administration would fill Trump’s Gulag with all the MAGA traitors, from Paul Manafort and Roger Stone to Steve Bannon and Elon Musk.
