(1,789 posts)60. Our oath demanded, as did the UCMJ, that we in fact refuse to obey unlawful orders.
We sat a good bit of time in basic training learning this stuff. This is what kept America somewhat on the road of democracy, but Trump doesn't care about the Constitution or anything else that reigns him in.
Dictator? He was planning on being king. Congress needs to really think about what that means: they are useless and they risk being killed when he's tired of them. Same with the Supreme Court. And those who pay for his nonsense. He can take their assets and have them killed as well. Kings don't need anything but the military, and he's working on owning that.
