Gemini Christmas! Women (and other people) who sacrifice themselves in service to everyone else's opinions of who they should be can be used, abused, and ultimately tossed into the dustbin of other peoples' lives. Meanwhile, those same women become invisible to themselves and society. Comments like "I lost myself" or "I don't have to have an opinion" reflect a loss of confidence born of selflessness. How's that for irony? We women in the boomer generation dumbed ourselves down to appeal to and not offend, intimidate or threaten male egos. Look, pointing fingers is an exercise in futility.

The issues are sociological, behavioral and economic exacerbated by technology, so it's complicated. As women stand up and step up today, the push back is inevitable; nothing new! The only way out is through, and there is a lot of work to do...
