Two impeachments. Zippo. No oversight. Riveted to conservative policies. If they reversed course voters could not miss the cases of Republican whiplash.

Was last night all about inflation? Tariffs? ICE raids and civil rights? White House demolition?

But really the question is how durable are those issues in voters' minds? Inflation can reverse, it's possible, tariffs can fade as an issue or be reduced. The other damage is irreversible.
