11. That answers something that puzzled me last week.

With all the brain power of computers everywhere I get emails reporting on the value of a car I didn't buy. Last week they told me that the value of my car decreased, now I know why. I also get mail and email for lots of other things, like extended warranty offers and service bulletins. I'm damn sure not going to let them know I bought a different car and start getting twice as much junk.

There was talk some time ago about an auto loan bubble at risk of collapsing in the same way the real estate bubble did. It could be that with what your neighbor said we are now on the cusp of a major transportation crisis. Democrats have been pushing for more and better public transportation for years to no avail. Instead we got faster cars and bigger trucks.
