Mills is pro-filibuster, and that should be a deal breaker. (Not to mention she will be 79 as she begins her term in the senate)

Court expansion under the next Dem president is critical to pass legislation that won’t be subsequently overturned. If Dems are going to have any hope of undoing the damage of the Trump era, and restoring democracy, the court must be expanded, and the only way that is going to happen is by killing the filibuster.

There are five other candidates running for the Dem nomination- nothing says voters must choose between Platner and Mills right now. Polling is still at the name recognition stage; let’s hope some progressive anti-filibuster candidate steps into this opportunity soon.
