We are fairly certain Melanoma was a honey pot plant of russian oligarchs tied to Putin to help launder money originally but even more useful as a weapon of chaos politically.

I would be shocked if she was not involved in bringing in girls either for a financial cut or as part of the operation to get kompromat and influence for former KGB oligarchs who were friends with her relatives. Ot the ever popular BOTH -- spying and skimming off the top.
