I sometimes post how various immigrant groups were demonized. Olive skin was and still is in places, I guess since Jesus was turned "white"

People who lost touch with "others" or had it pounded out of them, have no real sense of "self", just projecting some myth.

I've been following Wagner's ring cycle on the "At the Opera" internet radio (see the classical music forum) and it is saturated in Norse myth. The only part I like is (spoiler) the "gods" including Wotan, "blowing up real good" in the end, along with their Valhalla, for their greed and lechery.
