(22,647 posts)Board-of-Directors probably fall into the "We need to distance ourself" category than J. Average Worker. Given the other job she was fired from was with an HR-ish company, ManPowerGroup, that finds and hires people for other companies. I can see the connection being more-than-problematic than if she worked for a lot of other fields. Based solely on her other job title, I hypothesize that she held a higher position at ManPowerGroup, too; that part is speculation.
In these cases, the jobs were crossfire-bullseyes in terms of bad publicity for everyone associated.
I get where you are coming from, at least in part. I don't think doxing is an inherently liberal concept or activity. Neither is being an idiot in public to the degree that it requires callout an inherently conservative concept or activity. I don't really see how it loses us votes or gains MAGA any. It's a factor of what society has become with the technology we have achieved. It's not anything new, it's just that everyone has a video recorder in their pocket and the possibility of a world-wide audience.
It does go to far, at times, I agree. It reminds me a bit of the Orville Episode Social Correction. But it isn't a Right/Left thing. I don't know what the answer is to temper it.
