55. I thought she had at least condemned the chat since it became public, but turns out

I was giving her too much credit. She has said NOTHING about it to this point. A staff member eventually condemned the chat, but not until after they made what they considered the more important point - that none of the people in chat worked directly for Stefanik.

While they may not have worked directly for her, she knew several of them extremely well and publicly supported them.

North Country Public Radio reported that Stefanik endorsed Giunta for the national leadership position earlier this year.

“I was proud to support his campaign for National Young Republican chair,” Stefanik said at the dinner in August. “New York is very proud of you, Peter.”

Then there was Stefanik’s other friend from the Young Republicans dinner, Bobby Walker, who spoke passionately about using force to change voters’ minds, including apparently rape. He called that “epic.”

Walker was slated to be the campaign manger for state Sen. Peter Oberacker’s congressional campaign next year. Oberacker changed his mind about that Wednesday.

I'm sorry, but there is no way that someone like Stefanik (who worked closely with the NY Young Republicans) could not have known that these people held some of these despicable views.
