Disclaimer: I take this with a huge grain of salt, but I want to pose a hypothetical. Let's say Republicans did turn on Trump over the Epstein case and it let to his downfall before the 2026 mid-terms.
Wouldn't an amazing message for Democrats be the following:
"Republicans were litetally willing to go along with a Trump dictatorship including the use of troops against American citizens, until they learned it would hurt their personal power and position. Who could ever vote for this party ever again?"
