Who’s the architect? Who’s the contractor? Who supervises the design? What are the guidelines for what can or cannot be built on that site? Is there any set of rules for embellishments? Is there any way to prevent his making it a gaudy gilded shrine to himself? He says he’s paying for it (as if), but is he also planning to pay for the considerable staffing and maintenance? For that matter, do the people have ANY say in whether this thing is built?
