30. What's your definition of "sprayed"?

Eyewitness account:

He didn’t think much of the first shot he heard, Reynolds said, but started to worry when the shots continued. While a couple of people sprinted back to their cars, Reynolds stayed put because he didn’t know where the shooter was targeting.

“Running out into the open parking lot just seemed like a bad idea,” he said. “I said a prayer. I looked around to try to assess our options, which there weren’t a whole lot.”

He ultimately scooted behind a nearby chain link fence that divided the customer parking lot from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement staff parking lot as the gunshots rang out.

There was “anywhere between six to ten (gunshots),” he said. “Each one that comes by, you’re like, okay, maybe that’s the last one.”

Maybe I'm just not up on my shooter nomenclature, but my impression of "sprayed" is a rapid-fire barrage. If the witness had time after the first shot to not worry, and then worried because the "shots continued," it's hard for me to understand that as "sprayed bullets."

But maybe there's a gun-person definition of that term that's different from the general vernacular.

Heck, at the same link, there's video from some folks who were on the scene. It records, I believe, three shots. They are spaced over a 30-second video. That sure seems to me like someone who's taking some time to aim, as opposed to just pulling the trigger real fast.

Your mileage, as usual, will much vary from mine.
