So tired of the fear-based requests for money from Democratic fundraising groups [View all]

I'm so tired of all the fundraising requests that are written in such negative terms, along the lines of "everything is lost if you don't contribute now!!!". There is enough anxiety about where this country is going; I don't need daily reminders.

I believe this topic has been discussed before on DU. With the current feeling of helplessness to stop Trump, I'd be far more likely to contribute if the wording were more positive and more hopeful. "We can do this! We're making progress in x,y,z. Please help us continue the fight!".

I've had to unsubscribe or create a rule to delete those fundraising messages that use fear as a motivator. I think it's the wrong approach, and I'm wondering if others feel the same? Would love to get the Democratic fundraisers to understand this. We need hope, not fear. We need to come from a place of strength, not "we're going to lose if you don't give us money!".
