31. Reply STOP and then BLOCK every phone number you get a text from asking for money if it's not a candidate you know

While I go directly to the web page for candidates I can afford to donate to, the donation button always takes me to Act Blue. Sadly, that group sells our info to EVERY DEM or pretend dem, and we get deluged by texts asking for money for people in other states we probably don't know about. Pretty sure several texts I get are scams. It's infuriating.

Not a good practice and I hope Act Blue is getting the message that we won't go thru them if they continue to pass out our contact info. They need to improve their system and they need to do it NOW.

The other thing that raises suspicion for me is when I get texts promising matching funds for my donation, often very high numbers. I fear some of those ARE scams and I BLOCK any number those texts come from.
