(6,059 posts)It was disagreement that it should be done. There were several Senators at least who honestly believed it was the wrong thing to do. You my disagree with their position (I know I do), but it wasn't an unwillingness on their part to do what was right, It was a disagreement as to what was right. At least some of those who disapproved of expanding the court were NEVER going to change their mind. And I remind you again, that Joe Biden repeatedly publicly opposed expanding the court. What would you have said if they had passed the legislation and Biden vetoed it? (which would have been 100% consistent with his public statements). I guarantee, Joe Biden didn't lack the will to do anything.
And you're wrong that nobody pushed it. Several Senators introduced legislation to make it happen and there was never enough support for them to come close to passing.
